No Sleep 'til Brooklyn!

I've been toying with the idea of moving to New York for over a year now, and I think I'm closer than ever to actually going through with it.

And I am terrified.

Looking at places on the apartment sites is like cruising territory in Bangladesh. I have no clue where anything is.

And I always assume that if it's less than a thousand bucks a month it has to be a crummy apartment. If anyone from New York could give me any advice, that would be great. The places I've looked have been on Broadway, and they're like 900 bucks a month. I don't know. It just seems kind of sketchy.

HELP!

Umm...hello? Don't you remember your friends? We are here to help you! Would you want to live in Manhattan or Brooklyn (the only two boroughs unless you want Korean food)? It would be so so cool if you lived here!

  2. I know. I know. Hey, what is Broadway like? That seems to be where a lot of the cheaper places are. Is it that way for a reason?

  4. I guess the "Big Broadway" (sounds like a porn name. Yeah, I'd be bringing the dogs (maybe). I found some apartments for under a grand there.

  5. move to brooklyn not manhatten, we gots "bigger" places for cheaper. and let me know what your price range is and mrs. ktl and i will start a'lookin. nice places for cheap are definitely here, you just gotta be in the right place at the right time. also, we know alot of folks with dogs, so if they can do it, certainly you can too. and if your smarter/skinnier/cooler/better-looking lady friend is coming too, then affordible housing can easily be found.

  6. Sounds good to me. But Lady Protocol may take a little more convincing. Hey, we want to visit during Fall Break (October 28-?). Will you be there?
